I’d Suggest sticking to a 125cc super-motard, such as a Suzuki DR125 sm, a Yamaha WR125sm, or even a ktm duke (naked bike) 125.. The riding position is comfortable, lightweight, and they have excellent handling for corners. The power behind the engine is perfect for beginners to get used to. Its ridiculous to even consider a 600cc for a first bike.

600cc has a lot of power. If you’re under 180 pounds, it’s sufficient.

For real novice (0 experience riding even as a pillion) Suzuki GZ 250 is probably the best starter. Light, reliable and safe (20HP). Ideally, if possible, do not buy it as you’ll grow out it fast. It took me 2 months when I was ready for 900cc.

Very good list. I think for beginners there are few bikes which are also good.
Like Yamaha R15 – 153cc sports bike.
Royal Enfild Thunderbird – 350cc cruiser.
Cost $ – 2000
Top speed 140 KM/H.
0 – 60 in +- 6 sec.

Yeah a 600cc cruiser is a great starter bike, a 600cc sportbike and I will be reading your name in the obituaries. Its was to much power for a newbie. Its to much power for alot of experienced riders. Learn to take a smaller bike to its limits before you get into the 600+ sport bikes. I got a GS500F for my first bike and I still own it, I still can have alot of fun on it, keep up with the bigger bikes and it was great for learning to lean far etc…

Yeah, the (un)Focus will most likely get you kill, due to boringness, which will make you unfocused and crash

Well, it depends. When you’re buying your first car, is it sensible to buy a Ford Focus or a Ford Mustang SVT Cobra? Both will get you from A to B, but one has much more propensity to get you killed during the ride.
